Sue Prichard, a Montara resident and retired teacher created the wonderful public art collaboration at Mac Dutra Park and the mosaic on the Giorgetti Building in Half Moon Bay. Sue painted the mural at Hatch Elementary and the beautiful mural at Seton Coastside Hospital that survived the renovation! She was honored to be allowed to paint in Monet’s Garden at Giverny several times when only 8 artists were there. She knows that making art makes a happy heart!

Succulents and Sip!

Join UC Master Gardener Janice Moody from Seascapes Garden Center for a lesson on Succulent Arranging while sipping on a glass of Barterra Winery’s Award-winning Wine!

Janice Moody’s horticultural roots run deep—she grew up on a nursery that her family started in Half Moon Bay in the early 60’s (McCahon Nursery).  Although she majored in Dietetics at UC Davis, her inner passion for gardening never waned and after wearing many hats over the years, she finally found her true calling in life when she became a UC Master Gardener in 2010 and eventually started Seascapes Succulent Nursery and Garden Design in 2016.  She calls herself a jack of many trades, but a Master of only one—gardening.  She feels so fortunate to be able to work outdoors, doing what she loves most, and sharing her gardening knowledge with others.

Ticket includes your first glass of wine, everything you need to design and arrange your own succulent pot to take home with you, and instruction from Janice.

Live Music | Jazz the Dog

Saturday, February 17 we will be joined by Jazz the Dog 4-6pm!

Jazz the Dog is the new name for an old band of musical friends: Rhan Wilson, Rick Zeek, and Patti Maxine. No, they don’t play jazz, although they can be a bit jazzy. They actually play an eclectic mix of Americana, originals, soul, and sometimes oddly rearranged cover tunes. Slow and steady, fast and pumpin’, groovin’ – these three keep it “in the moment”, improvising as they go.
